Terms of service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms apply to the residential trash and recycling curb valet service provided by CANvenience (“we”, “us”). By signing up, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
1. The service
We take your trash and recycling cans from their designated storage spot to the curb before your scheduled collection, then bring them back after pickup. Bin deep cleaning is an optional add-on.
2. Pricing and recurring billing
Standard service is $10/week, automatically billed $20 every 2 weeks, and includes up to 2 cans. Each additional can is +$2.50/week, added to your bill as +$5 every 2 weeks.
Payments are processed by Square. Your subscription renews automatically every 2 weeks on your billing date until you cancel. Any additional cans beyond your plan may be billed as a separate recurring invoice, which we’ll tell you about before you’re charged.
3. Cancellation and pausing
No contracts. Customers can cancel anytime before their next biweekly billing date to avoid the next charge. Customers can also contact CANvenience to temporarily pause service.
4. Service area
CANvenience is available only within approved service areas. Customers outside our active service area may join a waitlist as we expand into additional neighborhoods.
5. Pickup days and can placement
During signup, customers provide their normal trash and recycling collection days.
CANvenience uses this information to schedule curb and return service. Customers should notify us if their regular collection schedule permanently changes.
Customers should keep their cans in the designated location provided during signup so our team can reliably find them.
If the location changes, the customer should update CANvenience before their next scheduled service.
6. Property and gate access
Customers must make sure their cans are accessible on service day. Gate codes and special access instructions can be provided during signup.
If we cannot safely access the cans because of a locked gate, incorrect access code, pets, blocked access, or another issue outside of our control, that service visit may be skipped without a refund.
7. Missed or delayed waste collection
CANvenience is responsible for moving cans to and from the curb as scheduled. We are not responsible for missed, delayed, or incomplete collection by the customer’s waste provider.
If the waste provider delays collection, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the change when possible.
8. Holidays and collection schedule changes
If the local waste provider officially changes a collection day because of a holiday or schedule adjustment, CANvenience will make reasonable efforts to adjust service to the updated collection day.
Unexpected or last-minute collection delays outside of CANvenience’s control cannot be guaranteed.
9. Weather and safety
Service may be delayed or temporarily suspended when severe weather, flooding, road closures, unsafe property conditions, or other circumstances make service unsafe.
Safety comes first, and CANvenience will resume normal service as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring their cans are accessible, properly identified, and safe to move. Cans should not contain materials or be loaded in a way that makes them unsafe to handle.
11. Add-on services
Bin deep cleaning is an optional $10 add-on per cleaning.
Cleanings will be performed on designated CANvenience cleaning days. Customers who request a cleaning will be notified/scheduled for the appropriate cleaning day.
Cleaning availability may depend on route and service area.
Additional cans are +$2.50/week each, added to your bill as +$5 every 2 weeks.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. Continuing service after an update means you accept the new terms.
